We are in the early stages of planning a milestone birthday long weekend for next fall. One possibility is the Georgia / South Carolina coast, but I've lived in Colorado for 20 years so I'm out of touch on the best resorts. I'm not a big golfer so that's not a major consideration. Will not have kids with us. Mostly thinking about good food and drinks, something that caters for multiple couples (resort or large house), a good spa for the girls - really just a very comfortable place to relax and spoil ourselves for a few days. I wouldn't say money is not an issue, but we are ready to splurge a little.
